Skin Holes
Reading skin holes got me thinking about the distorted way body image is portrayed in the media and in advertising..... Sure there is talk about everyones body beeing different etc. but the same old "perfect body" types are still the most common image.
I though about distorting the way that we view the ads, by letterboxing them I feel that they it helps us see what a load of nonsense the idea of the perfect body is.

Shot (Exhibition 20)
Shot was fun, It was good to see the teachers work. As this isn't counting towards my exhibitions I can be full biased and say that Silvia's work was by far the best in show.
Leica CCP Awards (Exhibition 19)
The Leica awards would have to one of the best shows I've seen all year.... It ranged from simple to stunning.... everyday to extraordinary. 2 photographers work really stood out to me. Steven Siewert with his work on the racing pigeon club documented the lives of the people who race homing pigeons and opened a window to what seemed to be a fairly closed world ( I can't imgine ever going to a pigeon race). and Stephen Dupont who's work in Afghanistan was to me both pure photojournalism and humor mixed into 2 different works

To me the story was about being or at least feeling like an outsider.... I would like to expand on the concept of shooting from outside windows into house and cars etc..... but that would be a fast track to being arrested so I will have to stick to shooting into friends and families windows.

See Luke fly
I worked in a group with Luke, Keegan and Dale
We took the portable lights into the squash courts and had a bit of fun jumping around.
Self Critique..... While all our shots turned out well, most of our shots were pretty much the same. also we should have done more the block out the highlights that come up on the polished wall but otherwise this was a lot of fun and we got good results
